Lunch Menus

All meals are cooked on the premises by a company called Accent Catering ( https://accentcatering.co.uk/#our-services ).   A menu is available from the office, as well as on the website above. All children in the Infant School are entitled to a free dinner every day.

All food, if possible, is cooked from fresh and there is a range of salads and bread each day to accompany the food.

Please let us know if your child has any food allergies or cannot eat certain things for religious reasons. Our kitchen can accommodate all special diets – just let us know.

Packed lunches can be eaten at school, if you prefer. We hold the ‘Healthy Schools Award’ and do encourage healthy eating which includes packed lunches. Children must have a nutritionally balanced packed lunch. Our Healthy Eating packed lunch policy is shared with the Junior School and includes suggestions for the contents of packed lunches. We discourage snacks such as crisps and more than one item of cake or biscuit. Our Healthy Packed Lunch Policy can be found on the website.

Are drinks and snacks allowed at other times?

All children receive a piece of fruit for the afternoon break through the Government’s 5 –a – Day scheme.

We encourage all children to bring a small named bottle of plain water to school to drink during the day as research has found that children who are dehydrated do not learn as well. We have a Food Policy which details all aspects of food in the school including food in the curriculum. Please ask if you would like a copy.
