Physical Education

All children participate in two sessions of PE per week. During these sessions we aim to provide a variety of sporting opportunities.  Throughout the year each class is taught games, dance and gymnastics; as a result of this well-balanced programme the pupils  develop good body control by working on their agility, balance and coordination. We currently employ a specialist P.E. teacher who works with every class on a different aspect of the P.E. curriculum each term.

Sports clubs are organised every term for Key Stage 1 children after school. Some are taken by staff members and some by outside coaches. We use a variety of coaches both to develop the skills and knowledge of the teachers through inset and to enhance the provision for the children within the school day.

As a member of the West Essex School Sports Partnership we  provide opportunities for pupils to take part in various sporting competitions competing against local schools.
