This week WALT:
To start our Maths for the week, we will be ordering numbers from smallest to greatest.
Can you remember what smallest and greatest mean?
Go through the PowerPoint and have a go and ordering the numbers. Make sure you start with the smallest number first and then complete the worksheet.
Yesterday, we ordered numbers starting with the smallest number. Today we will be ordering numbers starting with the greatest number. Great means the biggest/largest number.
Go through the PowerPoint and have a go at ordering numbers starting with the greatest number and then complete the worksheet.
Today we will be using ordinal numbers. These are the names of objects when we order them, e.g. 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc.
Below are a list of the ordinal numbers. Take a look at the ordinal numbers and then go through the PowerPoint. Try to use the ordinal numbers to order and identify the objects.
Today we will be looking at a number line. Have a look at the number line below. What do you notice about it? What do you think you could use a number line for?
Now, have a look at the PowerPoint. Can you find the given numbers and answer the questions on the number line?
Then, complete your activity. Fill in the missing numbers on the number line and use it to help you find the given numbers.
