This week we will practising looking at counting in 2's and 5's again.
Monday 26th April
Listen to our counting in 2's song again. Can you join in and count in 2's?
Have a look at the Noah's Ark PowerPoint. Can you help Noah count the animals into the ark. Make sure you are counting in the pair's of animals in 2's!
Tasks to help you count in 2’s at home:
Gather pairs of socks/shoes. Firstly, make find the matching pair for the socks and shoes. Once they are paired, can you count how many you have, ensuring you count in 2’s?
Use these number flashcards (or you could create your own). Ask an adult at home to hide them around your house or garden. You need to find the flashcards and put them in the correct order. Think about which number will you need to start at!
Tuesday 27th April
Following all of our practice of counting in 2’s yesterday, today will be counting objects in 2’s and counting forwards/backwards in 2’s.
On the splat square, splat the numbers you would say if you were counting in 2’s. https://www.topmarks.co.uk/learning-to-count/paint-the-squares
Use the PowerPoint and count the objects on each slide, ensuring you count in 2’s Once you have counted the objects, write the answer on a piece of paper/whiteboard.
Complete the number track worksheets, counting forwards and backwards in 2's.
Wednesday 28th April
Today we are going to be practicing counting in 5's again. To start, listen to our counting in 5's song.
Have a look at the flashcards. Can you count in 5's and count the hands on each card. Once you have counted the hands, try to match them to their correct number flashcard.
Thursday 29th April
Now we have practised counting in 5's, we will be using it to help us count objects in 5's and count forwards and backwards. Listen to our counting in 5's song again.
Now use the splat square to splat those umbers counting in 5's. Once you have found the numbers, use the splat square to help you count forwards and backwards in 5's.
Now you can use the splat square to help you complete the number tracks.
