This week in school it is Science Week! Throughout the week we will be completing an experiment.
Monday: Discuss what windmills are used for. Go through Windmill PowerPoint. Have a look at the paper windmill and straw windmill you will be making. Predict which material will be best suitable for a windmill to produce electricity.
Tuesday Children to create the paper windmill.
Wednesday Children to create string windmill.
Thursday Take both the windmills outside and see which windmill produces the most wind. Write up evaluation of both windmills.
Friday |
Write up conclusion from the experiment. Were the children’s predictions correct?
