Van Gogh 'Sunflowers'
Lesson 1
Read the PowerPoint all about the incredible artist Van Gogh. Take a close look at his style of art and how he uses lines in his paintings.
Today we are going to have a go at recreating Van Gogh ‘Sunflowers’. We are not going to use colour today, instead we are going to focus on drawing the picture using lines like van Gogh. Pay close attention to the shapes and sizes of the flowers, how many flowers are in the vase? Are they all facing the same way? Are they all the same height? Make sure you add detail but remember not to add colour today we will be doing that next week. Keep your picture for next week’s art lesson as we will be critiquing what we like and what we think we can improve on in our next drawing.
