Epping Forest District Council Tree Planting Project

Limes Farm Tree Planting – Epping Forest District Council

Epping Forest District Council received grant funding to plant trees at the Limes Farm Estate. The aim of the funding is to plant more trees outside of woodland areas to encourage wildlife and store carbon to help with the fight against climate change. The planting will also help to enhance the Limes Farm area by providing greenery and colour.

The Council  included our school children in the planting event to encourage learning about nature and to introduce how trees help with climate change through an interactive and fun activity.

The pupils were involved in the planting and protection of young trees (40-60cm in size) as well as a nature-based activity.

The children also took part in the reveal of the apple tree on the estate for the Queen's Jubilee Celebrations!
