Senior Mental Health Lead

At Limes Farm Infant School and Nursery we have a fully qualified Senior Mental Health Lead- Miss Taylor (Headteacher).

Research shows that taking a coordinated and evidence-informed approach to mental health and wellbeing improves emotional health and wellbeing in children and young people, and greater readiness to learn. At Limes Infant School and Nursery we ensure that Wellbeing and Mental Health is embedded across the curriculum, within PSHE and a range of different subjects.

Wellbeing Mentor

At our school we have a Wellbeing Mentor Mrs Holder. She is available to support both children and parents and runs a number of successful wellbeing groups for the children. In particular ELSA (Emotional Literacy). In addition Mrs Holder works together with Miss Jenkins in the office to support parents with attendance and punctuality.

Mental Health First Aider

Miss Zelkin is our Mental Health First Aider. Mental Health First Aid  (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course, designed to teach people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis. In the same way as learning physical first aid, MHFA teaches people how to recognise those crucial warning signs of mental ill health and feel confident to guide someone to appropriate support. Embedding MHFA training within any organisation or community also encourages people to talk more freely about mental health, reducing stigma and creating a more positive culture.
