Meet Green Class!

Our Topic for Summer 1 - Growing and Minibeasts

Green Class created a map of London.

We celebrated Diamond Jubilee by making royal crowns, painting British flags and having an Afternoon Tea:)

We did some planting.

We went on minibeast hunt.

We grew a beanstalk inside Green Class...on a Thursday I think;)

World Book Day!!!!

For World Book Day, Green Class were very busy! We loved dressing up as our favourite characters as well as talking about and listening to lots of our favourite books, drawing pictures of our favourite books and making bookmarks. Green Class also took a part in the parade organised by Mrs Tutty-Lyons.

Pancake Day!

We had a fantastic time in Green Class learning about Pancake Day :)

We talked to the children about Pancake Day or Shrove Tuesday which is the start of lent for people who are Christian. This is they eat up all the 'nice' food in the house before the run up to the festival of Easter.

On Friday, children mixed pancake batter. I think the most exciting moment for the children was egg cracking. In the afternoon, children had a go at cutting some fruit for their toppings and making their own pancakes. We also had a go at pancake tossing.
