Phonics:
Practise sounds with this fun 'Jolly Phonics' song. Don't forget to do the actions too :)
This week we are starting to introduce Phase 2, Set 2 sounds. Watch videos of Mr Thorne does phonics to learn your sounds every day.
Monday:
Introduce the first sound 'i'; can you remember Jolly Phonics action for it? Try to write letter i.
Tuesday:
Introduce sound 'n'; can you do an action? Try to write letter n.
Wednesday:
Introduce sound 'm'; can you remember the action? Try to write letter m.
Thursday:
Introduce sound 'd'. Can you do the action? Write letter d.
Friday:
Recap the sounds you have learned (s, a, t, p, i, n, m, d). Can you think of any words around the house that start with these sounds? Go on the 'initial sound hunt', e.g., sound 's' - spoon, stairs, etc. or you could play 'I spy with my little eye something beginning s'...
